dMAT Mock Test & Sample Questions: Free Practice for Every Section

Last updated 2026-09-10

If you're looking for a "dMAT mock test" or "dMAT sample questions," it's worth knowing upfront: g.a.s.t. does not publish a full timed practice exam. What exists officially is a sample-questions PDF and a set of walkthrough videos (covered below) — not a complete mock test you can sit end-to-end. This page covers both the official material and free interactive practice you can actually do question-by-question.

Try free interactive dMAT practice questions

This site has hand-built practice questions for every dMAT question type, with instant explanations and no sign-up:

Each question mirrors the real exam's constraints — single-choice or numeric-entry answers, no notes, no calculator — and every answer comes with a worked explanation, whether you got it right or not. Start from the practice hub to try all four in one place.

Official g.a.s.t. sample materials

g.a.s.t.'s own preparation page (linked from d-mat.de) is the source for the closest thing to an official "dMAT sample paper":

  • Preparatory materials PDF for the General Academic Module — sample questions, worked solutions, and explanations of how to approach each task type. This is the module that matters for APS/India applicants. g.a.s.t. revises this PDF as the exam format is clarified, so check the same page for the latest version.
  • Five official walkthrough videos, each explaining how a part of the exam works on-screen — a general overview plus dedicated walkthroughs for Figure Sequences, Mathematical Equations, Latin Squares, and the Subject Module screen. See preparation for the direct links and version notes.

How to build your own mock-test routine

Since there's no official timed mock exam, the closest equivalent is running the real constraints yourself: work through each practice module above under exam conditions — no notes, no calculator, one sitting — and time yourself against the actual section limits (25 minutes per Core Module subtest, 90 minutes for the General Academic Module). That combination — real timing plus real question types — is what a "mock test" for the dMAT actually looks like, since no official version exists yet.

Why there's no dMAT question bank yet

Two reasons, not just one. The dMAT is new starting with the 2026 cycle, so there's no multi-year archive the way there is for an established exam. But it's also a rule, not just a timing gap: g.a.s.t.'s exam terms explicitly prohibit test-takers from recording, discussing or sharing exam content after the test, with breaches "brought to legal prosecution" — so a genuine leaked question bank shouldn't exist even as the exam matures. See exam day rules for the full confidentiality terms. Be cautious of any third-party site claiming to have "leaked" or "real" dMAT past papers — g.a.s.t. hasn't published one, and the dMAT vs TestAS comparison explains why TestAS materials are a useful reference for the Core Module format but aren't the same exam.

Once you've practiced the format, the syllabus breakdown covers what each section is actually testing, and preparation covers the full official study material list.

Is there an official dMAT mock test?

Not a full timed mock exam. g.a.s.t. publishes a preparatory materials PDF with sample questions and worked solutions for the General Academic Module, plus five official walkthrough videos showing how each screen works — but no complete practice exam under timed conditions.

Are these dMAT practice questions free?

Yes. Every practice module on this site is free, with no sign-up required, and gives an instant explanation for each answer.

How many official dMAT sample questions are there?

g.a.s.t.'s preparatory materials PDF for the General Academic Module includes a handful of worked sample passages, not a large question bank — since the dMAT is new for 2026, there's no historical past-paper archive the way there is for older, established exams.
